Aaron Rodgers' 'Jeopardy!' troll insists he knew correct answer, but decided to poke fun instead - The Athletic

A month before he taped a “Jeopardy!” episode with Aaron Rodgers guest hosting, Scott Shewfelt watched the end of the NFC Championship Game and reacted the same as most everyone else when the Packers quarterback trotted off the field on fourth down late in the fourth quarter.

The Green Bay Packers trailed by eight points with just more than two minutes remaining against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Packers never got the ball back in an eventual 31-26 loss and their season ended one game short of the Super Bowl for the second consecutive year.

Shewfelt, a 39-year-old Los Angeles resident, author and former Capitol Hill reporter from Ontario who now works at a movie studio, made a moneyline bet on the Packers in that game, which means he placed a monetary wager that the Packers would beat the Buccaneers straight up.
