Spider-Man: No Way Home director has gone full Inception in a hilarious dig at the trailer leak of the movie.
While the full trailer for Tom Holland's upcoming third solo outing as Spidey is now officially out, a preview accidentally got out and did the rounds over the weekend.
The leak was actually a recording being watched through numerous devices – not exactly IMAX – though we're glad those behind the movie can at least poke fun at it.

Taking to his Instagram page, Watts posted a clip of his phone playing a recording of another phone playing a recording of another phone playing a recording of another phone playing the trailer. *Breathe*.
"The way the director intended," he joked in the caption.

Thankfully, we can now watch the actual trailer as intended, with the clip showing Peter Parker turning to Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) in an effort to get people to forget he is Spider-Man following the big revelation at the end of the last movie.
However, the catch is that the likes of MJ (Zendaya) and others would also forget his alter ego, and it appears he messes up Strange's spell in the process, opening up some multiversal madness – including the return of Doc Ock (Alfred Molina).
Speaking previously about the movie, Holland teased: "I can say that it's the most ambitious standalone superhero movie ever made.
"You sit down, read the script, and see what they're trying to do, and they're succeeding. It's really impressive. I've never seen a standalone superhero movie quite like it."
There are also heavy rumours that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield may return as Spider-Man – though the latter has strongly denied that he is appearing. However, a supposed set photo leaked over the weekend appearing to show the pair.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is available now on DVD, Blu-ray and digital download. Spider-Man: No Way Home has a December 17, 2021 release date.
