Netflix's Stranger Things unveils season 4 teaser that hints at trailer - Digital Spy

Netflix has dropped a new teaser for the new season of Stranger Things.

We have been waiting for almost two years for season 4, so any announcement is welcome, even if it might be extremely cryptic.

This latest video was shared today (May 5) on the official YouTube page for the show under the title 'HNL Control Room'. It sees seven analogue TV screens arranged in a circle showing static noise and turning on one at a time for a few seconds, displaying eery and disconnected images.

Among what is recognisable here is a door handle, a chessboard and an eight ball, all with blood splatters on them, as well as some shots of what looks like CCTV footage from what appears to be a show or mall.

While this teaser doesn't really reveal much about the new season, the description of the video teases more to come: "Due to technical difficulties, Hawkins National Laboratory will be closed until further notice.

"We will be back in service tomorrow at 9:00AM ET"

Could we see a full trailer coming tomorrow (May 6)? Tune in at 2pm UK time to find out.

Whatever it may be, season three left many questions unanswered that we are hoping a trailer will start to reveal.

We last saw Joyce, Will and Jonathan pack up their home and leave Hawkins with Eleven (who seemingly lost her powers) after Hopper's death.

But he didn't actually die and we saw him in the post-credits scene in some work camp in Siberia slaving away for the Soviets who apparently captured him after he blew up their facility.

So how did he survive and how will he escape? Where are the Byers headed to? And will Eleven get her powers back?

Stranger Things seasons 1-3 are now streaming on Netflix.
